Waterproof membrane’s properties
The mat is irreplaceable when waterproofing a bathroom. It is extremely stretchy and watertight, inhibits water vapor and prevents moisture form entering into the building materials. It is resistant to various temperatures (from -30˚C to +90˚C or -22˚F to 194˚F) and aging.
Sealing membrane can be successfully used when sealing walls in bathrooms, swimming pools, saunas, steam baths and wherever there is high humidity.
How to install a sealing memebrane?
The installation of Steigner waterproof mat is quick and easy. Apply liquid rubber. While it is still wet, apply the sealing membrane, tape, corners and pipe collars. Make overlaps at least 5 cm wide at the joints. Remove all unevenness with a trowel. When the layer is dry apply liquid rubber again. Remember that waterproofing is necessary in the renovation and construction of rooms exposed to high humidity!
