Anyone planning a bathroom renovation should think about building a barrier-free bathroom. This is not only a trend in interior design, but it also has many benefits. Our barrier-free shower trays are available in many sizes, so the shape can be adapted to your needs. Each model has a place for point or linear outflow. After installation and waterproofing, the tray should be covered with tiles.
Steigner shower trays are a proven solution when building a barrier-free bathroom. Three tray models are available. They differ in construction and durability, but each of them is available in over 20 sizes. At customer’s request, it is also possible to create a custom one as well.
The first variant, Mineral BASIC, is covered with a double-sided mineral coating reinforced with fiberglass mesh. The tray should be covered with large tiles. A more durable version, Mineral PLUS, contains an additional sealing layer that will provide 100% protection from water and moisture. This model can be covered with various size tiles or mosaics.
Mineral PROFI shower tray has a new and improved structure. The EPS board is covered with fiberglass mesh and two epoxy layers. Entire surface is covered with quartz. This solution improves adhesion of the board to tiles and other materials. The shower tray is even stronger, more durable and easier to assemble. This tray can withstand the weight of a wheelchair.
The offer also includes a shower tray with a sealing mat. Its surface is covered with a waterproof, polyethylene membrane that protrudes about 5 cm on each side. This fragment is enough to cover up transition points from the tray to the floor.
Steigner shower trays have various drainage areas. You can choose from: centralized drain, decentralized drain, linear drain and wall drain. Each tray has been specially modified with an approx. 2.5% slope which allows water to flow freely to the designated location.
Outflows differ not only in appearance, but also in bandwidth. The most popular and trendiest, linear drain, is characterized by smallest degree of drainage – 36 l/min. The horizontal outflow ensures a throughput of 42 l/min. In the ranking, the vertical drain wins definitely, draining water at a speed of as much as 66 l/min!
Steigner shower trays can be customized during the production process. Customer can decide the location of the drain and its appearance. There is a choice of point or line outflow.
If the standard version (with the already selected location) does not meet customer’s requirements, it is possible to create a tray according to their specific design. It is worth remembering that the drain site does not affect its bandwidth.
Steigner shower trays consist of an EPS board covered with reinforcing layers and sealing layers. The number and type of layers depends on the model chosen. A detailed description of each of them can be found on the product page.
With Steigner, you can purchase a shower tray and all the materials necessary for its installation.
