Ceramic rope properties
Durability
Fireplace ceramic rope from Steigner stands out with its thermal strength. It is resistant to constant temperatures up to 1260°C or 2300°F and even sudden heat rises up to 1800°C or 3272°F! Other brand’s ropes can withstand an average of 650°C or 1202°F heat.
Innovation
Steigner fireplace sealing rope is a clay-based ceramic cord that has better properties than typical fiberglass rope. It doesn’t dust or irritate the skin and airways as much as fiberglass. The ceramic sealing rope has a square shape, making it much easier and more economical (requires less glue) in assembly.
Application
Although the main purpose of the sealing rope is to protect the opening in the fireplace, it can be boldly used in other places, such as ovens, BBQs, smokehouses, fire doors and wherever there is a need to use seals with high thermal resistance.
Variety
Steigner fireplace sealing rope is available in 8 sizes. Choosing the right width for your needs is quick and easy. All insulation cords are available in white. Steigner offers ropes with a specially dedicated heat-resistant adhesive ST-1000 (up to 950°C or 1742°F), or without. If you choose a set (rope + glue), the amount of glue is adjusted to the amount of rope ordered.
